We donated more than 23,000 kilos of different products intended to cover the needs of the hundreds of people affected by the flooding of the Acre River that mainly affected the city of Cobija.

More than 3,500 families were evacuated to safe areas and shelters in recent weeks and department authorities declared the capital Cobija a “disaster zone,” reporting that the region does not have resources to face the crisis, so they asked for help from the central government.

Faced with this situation, the National Chamber of Industries (CNI) led a solidarity campaign in which its members joined together with a valuable contribution of essential products to help those affected. As part of this action, we delivered more than 23 tons of products, consisting of Sapolio bleach, Don Vittorio noodles, Life cereals and other brands. Alicorp's donation reached an approximate economic value of more than Bs 100 thousand, adding to the nearly 35 tons of products delivered together with other companies.

“Our objective is to ensure the well-being of Bolivians and in times of crisis, solidarity and cooperation are essential to overcome adversity. Our commitment is to accompany Bolivians, especially the most vulnerable when and in what they need most,” said Cynthia Valencia, our Corporate Affairs Manager, who delivered the donation to the Minister of Government, Eduardo del Castillo, so that they can be transferred and delivered to the city of Cobija.

We develop a sustainability strategy based on three axes: well-being, environmental care and development of the value chain, seeking to generate positive impacts in the communities where we operate.
