As part of the Father's Day celebrations and in support of the tradition of making salteña, Alicorp, through its Gordito butter brand, supported various businesses along the main road with a marketing strategy to boost their sales on the year's biggest sales date.
The brand provided its customers, teachers from Salta, with packaging and presentations with special dedications to Dad for the delivery of their products. This initiative sought to boost the sales strategy of these businesses, whose sales are estimated to have increased by 500% these days, according to data provided by some businesses in the sector in major cities.
“Supporting them by presenting their products with special packaging is a strategic way to boost customer loyalty on a day when Salta masters' sales skyrocket. While on a normal day they sell between 700 and 800 salteñas, on Father's Day they sell between 3,000 and 4,000 salteñas,” said Bernardo Inarra, B2B and Raw Materials Business Manager at Alicorp, expressing Alicorp's support for a sector that is important to the economy of many Bolivian families. The preparation of a good salteña falls into the hands of experienced master salteños, who manage to bake a golden, firm, semi-sweet, and crunchy dough that contains a rich and flavorful broth made with beef or chicken, vegetables, potatoes, and key spices to give it its iconic flavor.
“Our Salta artisans, in addition to being entrepreneurs who support their families, are custodians of this culinary tradition; and they continue to innovate. Today, we can enjoy fricassee salteñas, vegetarian salteñas, millefeuille salteñas, and even cheese salteñas,” Inarra added.
Alicorp is present in Bolivia, serving entrepreneurs through its B2B products, such as Gordito butter, and mass-market products such as Don Vittorio Regia, Fino, Sabrosa, and Sao pasta; as well as cleaning and home care products, including Bolívar, Uno, Opal, Patito, and Sapolio.
