Lima, February 2025. Alicorp, a leader in the mass consumption sector, has been included for the first time in the S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook, a recognition that highlights companies with outstanding sustainability performance worldwide. With this achievement, Alicorp becomes the only food sector company to represent Peru in this important listing.

Among the key aspects highlighted in Alicorp's evaluation are the creation of shared value with its customers, progress in developing its climate action strategy, and the company’s risk management, which includes sustainable supplier management and climate change-related risks.

These indicators are realized through programs like *Aliados de tu desarrollo*, which generate shared value alongside the company’s customers by offering continuous training and business solutions to entrepreneurs in the foodservice, bakery, and convenience store sectors. In environmental matters, the company is advancing in its commitment to reduce its carbon and water footprints by 20% by 2030. These actions are complemented by high-standard risk management, as well as programs to assess and develop its suppliers, as seen in the *Sustainable Palm* program, which aims to support palm oil suppliers on their sustainability journey.

Over the last year, S&P Global evaluated more than 8,000 companies worldwide and selected the top performers in each industry. In the case of Peru, a total of eight companies were included in the yearbook, with Alicorp being the only new addition. The other recognized Peruvian companies were: Corporación Aceros Arequipa, Ferreycorp, Banco BBVA Perú, Cementos Pacasmayo, InRetail Perú, Intercorp Financial Services, and Minsur.

In the food sector, around 400 companies were evaluated globally, and Alicorp stood out by ranking among the top 20 companies with the best sustainability indicators. The company has also achieved a 120% improvement in the overall indicator over the past 4 years.

“Being part of the S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook is an important milestone for Alicorp because it reflects the progress we are making in sustainability and shows that we are on the right path. Being in the yearbook motivates us to continue integrating sustainability into our business strategy, setting ambitious goals, generating a positive impact on our environment, and contributing to the development of the communities where we are present,” said Malena Morales, Vice President of Corporate Affairs at Alicorp.

The growing presence of Peruvian companies in this prestigious yearbook, which has become a key reference for investors and companies globally, reflects the commitment of the country’s business sector to the best international practices and trends in sustainability.
