February 11, 2026. – For the fourteenth consecutive year, Alicorp stood out in the 2025 Merco ESG Responsibility ranking as the most responsible company in the food sector, ranking 7th overall and #2 in the Food category. This recognition reflects the company's fulfillment of social, environmental, and corporate governance criteria as cross-cutting aspects of its operations.
“Alicorp's sustainability strategy is based on comprehensive management that spans the entire organization. We begin with active and permanent listening to our stakeholders to understand their expectations and needs, allowing us to promote programs and initiatives that generate shared value and contribute to sustainable development,” said Ian Nightingale, Corporate Manager of Sustainable Development at Alicorp.
In the social sphere, the company has programs aimed at strengthening its value chain through initiatives such as Aliados de tu Desarrollo (Partners in your Development), a platform where entrepreneurs from bodegas, restaurants, bakeries, and laundries find tools to improve and grow.
Through Diadía, which supports bodega and store customers, Alicorp provides digital tools and facilities for product procurement. Meanwhile, Insuma drives the development of the value chain by digitizing clients in the restaurant, bakery, and laundry segments, offering business management training, digital tools, online purchasing, and access to bank credit at preferential rates, thus contributing to the growth and strengthening of entrepreneurs.
From an environmental perspective, the company implements a Sustainable Palm program, through which it supports producers and palm oil associations in increasing productivity and implementing sustainability standards. As part of this effort, it provides guidance for RSPO (Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil) certification for groups of small independent producers.
Additionally, we work constantly to reduce our carbon and water footprints, promoting initiatives such as reducing the use of plastic materials in our packaging.
This recognition reflects Alicorp’s continuous evolution in terms of ESG management and the positive impact achieved through its purpose to Feed a better tomorrow.
