To date, more than 2,500 bakers have participated in the "Reposteras de Oro" (Golden Bakers) program across various regions of the country.

Throughout Peru, thousands of women begin each day by lighting their ovens, checking orders, and perfecting recipes. Many of them turn this daily effort into an opportunity to launch businesses and transform their communities. They are many: according to PRODUCE, more than 2 million startups are led by women, representing 42.8% of the national total.

In this context, Alicorp promotes initiatives that strengthen female entrepreneurial talent and foster sustainable businesses. To this end, the company developed Reposteras de Oro, a program that in 2025 brought together more than 2,500 entrepreneurs from various regions of the country through in-person meetings, virtual courses, and specialized workshops in technique and business management.

As an evolution of this initiative, the Escuela de Oro (Gold School) was born—a community that, throughout 2025 and early 2026, carried out training sessions culminating in the graduation of 361 bakers. This solidified its position as a key program for the professionalization of baking businesses nationwide. “Many bakers have enormous talent, but they don't always have access to tools to better manage their ventures. Our goal has been to accompany them on that journey,” noted Luisa Grados, Marketing Manager for Bakery at Alicorp.

The proposal, developed in partnership with Centrum PUCP, Nova Escuela, and Mibanco, offered a training process that included three modules on business management, finance, and digital sales. “The act of taking what is learned in the classroom and applying it to reality is the essence of the real impact this program generates for the trained entrepreneurs,” stated Sol Sanguinetti, Director of Centrum Alliances at Centrum PUCP. Additionally, the program promoted free virtual classes and a contest where participants presented their business models, awarding the three best proposals with seed capital and kitchen equipment. Furthermore, a Sustainability Prize was granted to recognize the proposal with the greatest responsible impact and social commitment.

First place went to Laura Odría, who stood out as an example of resilience and hard work through her innovative proposal. She is the founder of Dolce Nanos, a business specialized in creating 100% edible themed and personalized desserts, developed with artisanal recipes and healthy options. This venture was key to Laura winning the prize, which will allow her to invest in her business and boost its growth, in addition to acquiring a professional mixer to strengthen her production process.

“Thanks to Reposteras de Oro, I learned to identify what differentiates my business, to organize my finances, and to understand the importance of communication, process efficiency, and formalization to grow my baking business,” Laura highlighted.

The Escuela de Oro is a space open to anyone interested in strengthening their knowledge and professionalizing their skills in the world of baking. Through these training programs, participants have the opportunity to learn from experts and acquire key tools to drive the growth of their businesses. Information about this and other projects can be found on the social media channels of Alicorp and Reposteras de Oro.
