For the twelfth consecutive year, Alicorp stood out within the Merco ESG Responsibility ranking 2023 as the most responsible company in the Food sector and in seventh position in the general ranking. This recognition reflects compliance with criteria of social and environmental responsibility and good corporate governance as transversal aspects of our operations.

“Our sustainability management is framed in the aspects of social, environmental and governance management. In the case of Alicorp, we start by actively listening to our stakeholders and understanding their concerns and needs to respond through programs and initiatives that contribute to generating shared value,” highlighted Malena Morales, vice president of Corporate Affairs at Alicorp.

In that sense, in the social aspect, we have been working on programs such as Pots that Develop, which promotes the development of common pots through food delivery, implementation of kitchen utensils and training that includes preparation for the development of businesses. that generate complementary income to the pots.

Likewise, we seek the development of our value chain, accompanying the digitalization of our clients in the restaurants, bakeries and laundries segment, through Insuma, a program that provides training; We facilitate online purchasing and allow access to credits that make entrepreneurs grow.

From the environmental aspect, we work to constantly reduce our carbon and water footprint, through the reduction of plastic materials in our packaging. Following that same objective, in 2023 we installed the first solar panels in our Arequipa plant.

Additionally, in the area of ​​governance, in 2023 we obtained certification of our Anti-Bribery Management System under the scope of the international standard ISO 37001. To achieve this, we developed a methodology that allows us to identify the main risks in our processes, policies, procedures and controls to prevent the materialization of bribery risks. We also established secure and confidential reporting channels to detect possible acts of non-compliance, among other actions.

This recognition motivates us to continue working in line with our purpose of Feeding a Better Tomorrow, creating shared value for our environment.
