The Ministry of Education (Minedu), the Cultural Association D1 and Alicorp , as part of its commitment to creating value and welfare in society join forces to carry out the pilot program "RevelArte, art to unlock your potential" with in order to promote the comprehensive development of high school students in Metropolitan Lima.

Through this collective work, it seeks to implement a robust process of socio-emotional development in young secondary level. With the implementation of this project is expected to help prevent situations of instability or conflict in young people, such as school dropout, crime, drugs, among others.

"In Peru, there are different factors that lead to school dropout in 2nd and 3rd grade. This pilot program aims to generate protective factors in young people by developing emotional infrastructure", says Paul Flor, Minister of Education.

The pilot project was proposed from the Regional Directorate of Education in Metropolitan Lima (DRELM) in coordination with MINEDU , for the formation of adolescents. With this partnership between the State, civil society and private enterprise, it is expected to benefit 4,000 students in 30 public schools 7 Ugel in 17 districts of the capital.

"We are convinced that the proposed MINEDU to promote the development of school youth between 12 and 15 years, using the methodology developed by the Cultural Association D1, contribute directly to feed their socio - emotional skills. This will help them unleash their full potential; because their ideas, their emotions and their abilities can change your future." Gubbins says Alfredo Perez, CEO of Alicorp.

The Cultural Association D1, hand Vania Masias, entrepreneurial and social change agent, designed the pilot emotional infrastructure and healthy space for collective learning, which will serve the development of socio-emotional skills (HSE) based on the methodology program D1 .

"Our institution is committed to a collective education, co-guided , as a complement to school education traditionally to form autonomous and capable people to achieve self - fulfillment, being integrated in building a freer and more caring society", explains Vania Masias, director D1 Cultural Association.

The initiative will last two years (2019 - 2020) and consist of three stages: teacher training, implementation and evaluation jointly. Next, the characteristics of each of these levels is as follows:

  • Training: In this period will last two months, will strengthen and enhance the capabilities and teaching tools for teachers through the expressive arts such as dancing, acting, public speaking, among others.
  • Implementation: The training sessions will take place in tandem, between a teacher and a facilitator of the D1 team that will accompany teachers in classrooms throughout the duration of the program. His presence will allow feedback on the skills of teachers and supervise the practice of the methodology.
  • Evaluation: The implementation will have an impact study, conducted by an independent third party to ensure compliance with the objectives and systematize the experience so that it can be replicated in scale.
